HERE is yet another 1960s vehicle from my very own classic car stable. As ever, my prices offer what arguably may be the best value for money classics in the UK. My business has celebrated 15 years of successfully sourcing antique vehicles and then re-homing them with their happy new owners. So now, here is my 1964 Morris Minor Traveller.
This '64 Traveller, complete with earlier goodies such as the "banjo-style" steering wheel and white speedo is in superb nick. The Ash wood frame had been newly fitted when the previous owner purchased it just last year. Sadly, since then he has lost interest in classic car motoring and now this lovely old girl is searching for a new home. Prior to that change of ownership, she had just six previous owners from new.
I have always thought that the wooden frame on Travellers - especially when new and still in that lovely light shade - always looked best set against the contrasting black bodywork. However that's just my opinion. Others may think that white, blue or maroon are better options. She is a real eye catcher with her startling red interior and early 60s style dash. She drives superbly with oodles of pep. Her bodywork is extremely pretty with just a couple of minor (no pun intended) things to point out. There is a tiny area on the nearside edge of the bonnet where there has been a touch-up and the passenger door's paintwork looks a tad flat compared to the bulk of the car which is great. Most would probably neither know nor care. I am just pointing these bits out.
A very, very pretty Moggie Traveller offered at a more than reasonable price. Have a look around if you are out of touch with where good Travellers are price-wise these days. Especially those with new wood!
My classic cars are motoring antiques. Please do not confuse them with your one-year-old Range Rover. This car, for example, is 58-years-old and so will have quirks and faults in there somewhere. These are not always apparent when buying and selling classics which is what I do. I do not restore them, nor do I pretend that they are concours cars. The majority of them go out as they came in, and I continue to enjoy finding more - a skill which is becoming increasingly difficult as many of you will be aware. They deserve to be taken on as "family pets" and cared for through thick and then. They don't make them any more and demand now out-strips supply. Please bear all this in mind, and enjoy your classic car. I can also assist with delivery and so please ask for a quote. Thanks, Martin. the details below.
