The Mac Daddy. We are extremely excited to offer this UK registered factory S Code 1968 390 Big Block Fastback. This Mustang rolled off of the Ford Metuchen plant production line on 06/ 04/ 1968. Ordered new with the following specification (as confirmed by the accompanying Marti report):

Blue Standard Bucket assays
3. 25 standard axle ratio
Four speed manual transmission
White paint stripe
GT equipment group
Whitewall tyres
Louvred bonnet
Power disc brakes
AM radio
Accompanying the car is a substantial history folder (the largest of any Mustang we have ever sold) documenting tens of thousands of pounds worth of worth since it was first registered in the UK in 2005. In 2005, underwent an extensive restoration to a concours standard. At this time it was retrofitted with a Tremec T5 5 speed manual gearbox, an essential upgrade on these big blocks. Upgraded power disc brakes were fitted and as such the car stops remarkably well.
The engine sports Edelbrock alloy heads, race tappets, Le Mans dress up kit, roller rockers, lightweight inlet manifold, 750 CFM Holley carb, Pertronix electronic ignition. This combined ultimately makes the car a dream to drive, increases performance and usability.
The most recent owner wanted the car to drive as well as it looks. As such, after vast documented expense, the car now benefits from multiple tasteful performance and handling upgrades including a Rod and Custom coil over suspension kit with rack and pinion steering. The matching numbers engine was recently suffering from poor compression on cylinder 8 so a no expense spared programme of works were carried out by Auto Shack to remedy. It now runs and drives perfectly, I daren’t say much better than it ever would have in period! The owner also opted to have Hauser Racing rebuild the rear axle with a limited slip diff. A few cosmetic jobs have been tackled along the way since the restoration to keep the Mustang in top condition aesthetically too - all documented.
Today, in short, the car presents beautifully and would be the greatest addition to any discerning Mustang collector or enthusiast’s garage. A very special car indeed.
