Description
A very well maintained and presented sable grey Mk3 MR2 is up for sale here. With an extremely low mileage of 49, 580 for one of the last models(2006) sold in the UK, means this would be a wise and recommended purchase, for a superlative cornering and handling car in good overall condition.
The only variations from oem. (modifcations) are headlight bulb change, refurbished grey coloured alloy wheels(less than 6 months ago), tyres are 6-7mm tread Toyo TR(F) and Nankang NS2(R) offering excellent grip. The car has been largely debadged, but the removed badges are available, and will be sold with the car, giving the purchaser the option to reinstate them. The lead acid battery was replaced in late 2021 with an Exide Lithium battery, this has operated without issue over the months, and as an added bonus reduced the vehicle weight by 12kg.
Bodywork and paint are as one may expect from a 16 year old car, showing a few minor scratches and dings, but these are so trivial in number and extent, it’s well nigh impossible to show up in any photograph or under close scrutiny in person.
The folding soft-top roof is in smooth working order, free from any rips or imperfections and crucially is waterproof, literally as good as new.
Heated black leather seats(a quite unususual extra) complement the highly effective standard heater, meaning top down motoring in comfort is possible in the coldest of conditions.
Asking price is £6175 or oiro, which includes the private number plate FFZ 588(original reg plates LM06 DVW will also be supplied with the vehicle). The reason for selling? I own 3 other MR2, along with a ‘daily’.
There are a few months left on the existing MOT( expiry date 29th October), but I will provide a 12 month MOT, prior to sale completion.
To help prospective purchasers, photographs, plus a You-Tube walk around video will be made available from roughly 1/ 6/ 22.

Maintenance over the 12 months I have owned the vehicle was undertaken by Grooms(local garage) and Matt Lee(MR2 specialist)
I have done approximately 7500 miles over those 12 months of ownership, the car has had 3 engine oil + filter changes( maybe overkill, but have tried to do every 3000 miles) along with
Waxoil to main structure of car
Remove and clean/ paint rear suspension sink arms (3 coats)
Fit new front lower wishbones
Exh/ cat heat shield + reset hand brake calipers
Front pads and discs parts change
Pads and discs labour
Coolant flush/ renew
Plugs
Brake + clutch fluid swap
Pas oil swap
Gearbox oil swap
Swapped slightly stiff steering uj for a new one
The maintenance mentioned above addressed any advisories from the last MOT and much more besides, such that a purchaser can have full confidence in the mechanical condition of the vehicle.
