This is the true morgan, the 4/ 4 2-seat roadster with 1, 267cc standard special 4-cylinder engine and sliding pillar independent front suspension.
this early post-war 4/ 4 was restored in the uk in 2006 and acquired for the collection in 2010. the car is offered with spanish registration papers, old-style uk logbook and uk swansea v5 document for the registration mark 'cvl 383'. its last recorded owner in the uk is anthony haddock of carlton forest, nottinghamshire, who acquired the morgan in july 2002.
it comes with the morgan instruction book. This is a very tidy older restoration in excellent condition and is a great, responsive, enjoyable, lightweight british sports car with an avid and enthusiastic following. It is identical to the first 4-wheel morgan’s built before the war except for the standard engine, and it set the pattern for every subsequent morgan until the turn of the 21st century. Only 578 morgan 4/ 4s were built between the end of the war and the introduction of the plus 4 in october 1950.
original factory colour green, colour changed in 1992.
imported in 2010 to spain and registered as historic in 2013.
in this period of time in spain, it has been perfectly maintained.
