Description
After a very long and exhaustive restoration process my very rare Alfa Romeo 164 QV in white (from factory making this exceedingly rare) is now offered for sale
My car is a 1994 Alfa 164 3. 0 24v QV in Bianco (White) and manual gearbox. This car is one of 2 white QV's in the country. Only 4 previous keepers, last owner since 2006. She has done 164k miles and has been very well looked after in the previous owners tenure but did need a restoration to bring back to the road. The car is now MOT'd and drives wonderfully. List of the new parts and work I have done to bring this rare Pininfarina designed beauty back on the road:
Bosch crank position sensor
New rubber fuel lines in tank (they degrade)
TRW clutch slave cylinder
Air filter
Hella wiper blades
Rear brake pads
Front brake pads
The brake discs are very expensive Tarox grooved and drilled, virtually new all round
Valeo 3 piece clutch
Gates cambelt, waterpump, idlers and tensioner
ATE brake master cylinder (very hard to get and QV specific)
Welding to rear suspension turrets and 2 x jacking points
Avon tyres all round
Floor mats
New spare key cut
Period specific licence plates front and back
Lucas fuel pressure regulator
Bosch fuel pump (expensive item, these are fitted to Ferrari 550's)
Blue temp sensor
A very good condition front subframe, totally refurbished before being fitted
Brake line changed, rear to ABS unit
CV Gaitor
Oil change of course
Gearbox oil
MOT
The car now runs beautifully, the Busso V6 sings like they do! The car itself has a nice spec with electric and heated front seats, electric folding mirrors, electric windows all round, PAS, rear heated seats (very rare), sunroof, rear blinds, EDC (which works). The body is remarkably clean with very good paintwork and no dings. It comes with a Becker CD player which works perfectly and the previous keeper upgraded the speakers to Hertz components, the rears sound a little blown to be honest but the front sound lovely. The car is fitted with very rare 17in Compomotive alloys which the previous keeper had made, my specialist has some QV specific Speedlines if you would like them to keep the car standard. The car has also been extensively poly bushed by the previous keeper
It has been a long process restoring her and has cost me thousands. The air con was disconnected by the previous keeper, but apart from that the car is ready to be driven away and enjoyed for another 25 years
I will of course take more photo's, but if you text me I can send you some I have in my phone
