Description
With the "V" series, Moto Guzzi used a foot-operated 4-speed gearbox and an engine with both valves head-controlled (OHV) for the first time. This development was another milestone for Moto Guzzi. The designation GT stood for the rear suspension. Engine power increased from 13. 2 hp to 18. 9 hp. Initially, the GTV still had the old trapezoidal fork, but from 1947 it received a telescopic fork and hydraulic dampers at the rear. The motorcycle was superseded by the Astore in 1949.
The offered GTV from 1948 was mechanically overhauled. The following have been replaced: pistons, valve guides, fuel taps, front and rear brakes. The carburettor has been overhauled, the seat cover and rear light are new, the tank has been protected on the inside. With patina a motorbike in good running condition.
