1970 MG Midget Mk III - Heritage body shell
In October 1969 the MG Midget received a mild facelift. The grille was now a Matt black item with the octagon logo centrally mounted, the sills were finished in satin black and the bumpers were entirely restyled in a slimmer shape with the rear being quarter type with a square number plate mounted in the middle. Minor revisions to the interior trim were also made.
This particular Midget is a 1970 model and has been fitted with the original style grille. Rebuilt using a new British Motor Heritage body shell some years ago, it has covered just 10, 000 miles subsequently.
The rebuild included fully reconditioning the engine and gearbox, braking system and suspension. The cockpit was renewed along with the hood and the seats were re-covered in leather.
