The Vantage V8 constitutes one of Aston Martin’s finest blends of aesthetics with motoring thrills. Its award-winning shape was co-created by Aston Martin’s design directors Ian Callum and Henrik Fisker. Its body is constructed from aluminum, magnesium and exotic composites under Aston Martin’s Vertical Architecture to achieve lightweight rigidity. Its hand-built all-aluminum, naturally-aspirated V8 engine features a racing-derived dry sump allowing for lower and rearward placing to achieve a 49/ 51 front to rear weight distribution. Its quad camshaft variable timing sound led BBC’s Jeremy Clarkson to declare the V8 Vantage as the Best Sounding Car of the Year 2006. In Aston Martin’s tradition, the Vantage was offered in a wide range of body and interior leather and fabric colors.
The V8 Vantage offered was ordered in sophisticated and contour enhancing Tungsten Silver over Obsidian Black in Anthracite Finish, Silver stitching and Taylor’s Grey headliner. For pure motoring thrills, its 380 bhp are transmitted to the rear wheels via close-ratio 6-speed manual gearbox, best described by Aston Martin's development director Jeremy Main as “... one of the best manual changes in the world. Driving enjoyment is a very important quality of the Vantage V8 and part of that is a superb gear change action”.
