Hexagon Classics are delighted to offer this stunning low-mileage manual gearbox Porsche 993 Carrera S, which has been in long term ownership for the past 17 years and boasts an impressive service history. Just 251 manual cars were produced for the UK market, and the classic Arctic silver with contrasting midnight blue leather is amongst the most sought-after of colourways.
The wide-bodied 993 Carrera S is a rare and much favoured variant of the 993 range, due to its low production numbers and its massive kerb appeal. The car was produced for a one-year period only and can be easily identified by its split rear engine grill, and unique steel grey trim.
The Carrera S offered a higher equipment level than its little brother, the suspension was lowered (option M033) by 10mm at the front and 20mm to the rear, the nose section, side panels and wide rear body are of the 4S, which gives the car a Turbo look.
This wonderful example is powered by the 3. 6 litre, air cooled naturally aspirated, VarioRam equipped engine, the last of the 911 air cooled engines which is why the 993 sits so highly amongst the neunelfer purists. The VarioRam adjusted the length of the air intake ducts in line with the engine revs and the speed of the car, and the power output was increased to 285 bhp.
Our 993 Carrera S was supplied new by JCT 600, Newcastle in August 1997 and has a comprehensive service history. The 993 Carrera S also comes with an excellent history file, leather driver’s book pack, historic MOT certificates, tax discs, both keys and PA1000 remote fobs.
