Description
Lovely 1956 A30
12m MOT with two minor advisories: slight play in front suspension and steering.
Previous owner upgraded the front brakes to discs.
I bought it just over a year ago for my parents. My mother unfortunately has dementia so wanted to use it as reminiscence therapy as the A30 was my Dad’s first car in Sri Lanka and was also the car that they went on honeymoon in. Alas, Mum’s mobility has worsened so it’s tricky getting her in and out.
Previously the car was an insurance Cat C as a previous owner did not have agreed value insurance.
Interior has been retrimmed. Car runs and drives beautifully. Trafficators have been wired up and work. A few scabs can be seen on the paintwork and some filler in front wing that has cracked, but nothing major. Would benefit from front grille replacing or rechroming, slightly pitted but has cleaned up well. All other brightwork is in great condition. New front brake master and rear brake frame cylinder, new alternator and 4 tyres.
