EXTERIOR
Unassuming in a freshly painted coat of Ragusa Green the boxy silhouette of this RS2 easily flies under the radar, coming to life in natural light when the metallic flake shimmers to unveil the depth of the gorgeous green finish. As one would expect the car presents in immaculate condition alongside a whole host of exterior improvements to supplement the newly painted body.
Mirrors have been stripped, blasted and painted as well as all grilles and mesh blasted and painted black. New lower door bump strip trims, a new rear tail light / centre unit and new badges front and rear complete the exterior refresh.
The sophisticated colour is endorsed by some of those most forward thinking engineering of it’s time with significant Porsche influence to mirrors, side lights, wheels and brakes – all migrating from the neighbours parts inventory.
INTERIOR
Despite being a product of the mid 90’s the RS2 cabin was ahead of it’s time with that now familiar trilogy of leather, alcantara and carbon fibre.
The deeply bolstered electric Recaro seats present very well having been treated as part of the restoration process whilst a full headlining re-trim in alcantara, inclusive of A pillar trims and sunvisors, ensures excellent quality and feel throughout. Period features such as the wheel, vents and gauges offer that distinctively retro feel although an updated Pioneer head unit provides more modern day connectivity.
Carpets are clean and with new over mats front and rear the cabin space is beautifully presented.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Co-designed with Porsche the 2. 2L unit is incredibly versatile and massively potent allied with the Quattro all wheel drive system.
This engine and drivetrain has been subject to a comprehensive rebuild by Audi 5cyl specialists JD Motorsport with every nut, bolt and washer inspected, cleaned and replaced where necessary. The crank has been crack tested and polished with new main and big end bearings, block acid cleaned with re-bored cylinders and new piston rings whilst the cylinder head has been fully rebuilt with new guides / seats and new stretch bolts. The Turbo has been rebuilt with a brand new OEM turbine housing.
The gearbox, differential and driveshafts have all been stripped and inspected with dual mass flywheel that was also inspected and re-fitted with new bolts, new clutch slave cylinder and gearbox mounts.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Nowhere is the collaborative work between Audi and Porsche more evident than in the wheels and tyres, with a set of 17 inch Porsche Cup wheels with Audi branded centre caps fitted to each RS2 as standard. These freshly refurbished wheels present in excellent condition protected by a ceramic coating, wrapped in new Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres all around.
The Brembo braking system has been completely overhauled as well as the subframes, suspension and steering components – all stripped, cleaned, inspected and renewed where necessary.
HISTORY FILE
This exceptional RS2 was first registered in 1995 and would be looked after solely by the main dealer up to 91k miles. The car then moved onto specialist servicing before finding its current owner in 2014 – an ambitious mechanical engineer and marque enthusiast who wanted to restore the car as faithful to original as possible. It is incredibly difficult to source the many bespoke parts necessary for an accurate restoration of these models; with many original parts prohibitively expensive or simply NLA. Over an 8 year period this car has been carefully constructed as authentically as possible with the last inspection carried out by go-to RS2 specialists Dialynx in August 2022 who found nothing other than the, often incorrectly fitted, drop links to replace.
The history file is brimming with invoicing and paperwork of the car’s history as well as the exhaustive list of parts used in the rebuild process. Physical photographs, parts inventory summary and a CD illustrate the work carried out over the years.
The car has been run in correctly and now sits on the button and ready for its next enthusiastic owner to enjoy.

Suspension – New factory Sachs shocks, Blasted / painted OE springs, Front & rear subframes blasted and powder coated, Powerflex bush kit throughout, OE rear subframe bushes from frame to body, all suspension arms / components blasted and powder coated front & rear, New rear track arms, new steering tie rods and wishbone ball joints, new camber bolts front & rear, all suspension hubs stripped, blasted and painted – rebuilt with new bearings all round, new top mount bushes, strut housings stripped, blasted, powder coated and rebuilt, new drop links front & rear, anti roll bars blasted and powder coated, new rack gaitor, new track rod ends
