Lovely original condition BMW R 60/ 6 from 1976. 600cc. Matching numbers. Two owners from new, first owner from 1976-2020. First registered on the 13th of October 1976
The BMW is in very good original condition, having been maintained and serviced throughout its life. A few receipts come with the bike, the last one dated from 2019, when the R60/ 6 benefitted from new valves, pushrods and rebuild heads. Also recently fitted with new battery, new brake caliper gaskets and fresh fork oil.
The 60/ 6 is fitted from new with the original BMW sports fairing with correct voltmeter and clock. The drilled twin discs were introduced on the R90S in 1975 and soon thereafter on other models subject to order.
The bike is in the original BMW colour: Monza Blue with hand lined white pinstriping. The paint has a perfect patina with only a few tiny scratches here and there. There is one tiny dent at the back of the petrol tank, but it is just by the seat, so not noticeable.
The only part that could do with renewing now is the steering damper plastic knob, as one side of the knob is broken. This can be bought new or used from several sources in Europe.
The R60/ 6 comes with original BMW rack and panniers in good condition. Very clean inside.
The bike starts on the button and settles into a steady idle instantly. No choke needed. Smooth engine with brisk acceleration. Precise gear shift. Currently registered for the road and ready to use.
