The black interior has been completely retrimmed by renowned experts Aldridge Trimmers to its original factory specification. The interior throughout is outstanding with new loop pile carpets, fully restored door cards and original Scheel roll top sports seats all unmarked. The padded dash top is supple and crack free, the facia unmarked. All electrical switches, clocks, gauges and 2-speed heater work as they were intended. Exterior
This beautiful RS2000 is finished in desirable factory Ford Black, (code A), and has a brilliant uniformed deep shine throughout. Beautifully straight panels and fit, uniformed shut lines and reassuring closures. Under close inspection, some very minor paint imperfections are evident but does not detract from the overall quality of this show standard RS. Ziebart protection from new evident from the plugs within the door shuts have helped maintain the standard of this impressive RS. Fitted with discreet Chubb deadlocks which can be seen on the lower sections of the doors.
All exterior trim, bumpers, rubber boot spoiler, door handles, Ford fitment RS decals, pinstripe and badges are in exceptional order throughout. Correct Cibie quartz halogen headlamps, and original rear light clusters all perfect. The bronze tinted glass is in excellent order. A true Fast Ford RS Legend…

Wheels, Tyres & Brakes
Filling the arches are genuine Ford Rallye Sport Ronal alloy wheels which have been refurbished to an exceptional standard without compromising the raised Ford and manufacturing markings. Fitted with all matching excellent Yokohama A539 175/ 60 R13 tyres. The original spare still has the factory build stickers displayed.
Standard vacuum servo assisted front disc brakes with drum rears. The brake system has just been overhauled with new brake pipes, rear cylinders and shoes. Braking provides a positive and reassuring feel.
Engine & Transmission
Original specification SOHC rebuilt engine with all standard features such as original plastic airbox and Twin-Choke Weber 32DGAV carburettor. The gearbox has been upgraded to a desirable Ford Type 9 five speed unit and correctly housed. Gear changes select easily are precise, clutch is light and smooth in operation.
Extensive and detailed servicing work completed September 2022 including new timing belt, front crank seal, front and rear gearbox seals, new alternator, flush out coolant system and pressure test etc. needless to say she drives beautifully, hot or cold she starts easily and idles perfectly.
The engine bay is detailed and supports the original factory metal data plates.
Summary
Supplied new via the Ford RS Network and registered on the 18th November 1977.
The comprehensive history file contains the original Ford key and an uncut genuine Ford blank, one key fits all exterior original locks and ignition, 2 x Chubb deadlock keys.
Original Ford operation guides and handbooks, past owner information, 20+ past MOT certificates, Ford Rallye Sport Dealership literature, letters from previous owners documenting their knowledge of the car's history, photographs of the car at various shows plus many invoices for servicing and maintenance complete this extensive history file dating back several decades.
A Fresh 12 month MOT will be issued upon sale and of course, this RS2000 is HPI clear with certificate included.
