MG Midget was a very small car produced between 1961-1980. It was pretty much the same car as a Austin Healey at the time. There was a MK 1 , MK 2 and MK 3, but we will focus on MK 1 model here. MG car have always been popular for racing since parts are easy to find and most of the time very cheap.
Exterior: This a MG Midget MK1 race car for sale and it has some battle scars that has accumulated over the years. Certainly free from rust though and with a very healthy body. As you can see on the pictures a safety bar if you should roll over. Rolling on Minilite style wheels with correct Pirelli tyres.
Interior: Well, there is not so much here. Except for a racing seat and seatbelts. A big rev counter and we installed a timer to see how much we are driving. This can easily be removed since not allowed if you plan to race the Midget in historic racing.
Engine: Perhaps the best part of this car is the little 1100cc engine that produce just under 100hp! This is pretty amazing for this size of engine. And the weight of the car is only 578kg! It has been bench tested recently and fine tuned in the ignition and carburettor. So the MG Midget historic racer is ready to go back on the track.

History: The MG Midget was initially built in Denmark and came to Sweden around 2015. It has been used in historic racing here in Sweden. Competing in the class GT cars up to 1965. The FIA class is GTS 8. It has the historical technical passport. If you are interested in the technical details of the car please send me an e-mail and I will send a copy of the documents.
The MG Midget comes with a special built little trailer to make life easier. The trailer is so small you can leave the car on the trailer in your garage. So it is easy to move around and just hook it on the next time you are heading for the race track. It is a very simple car that has been trouble free for us the few times we have been driving it. Engine was rebuilt just before we bought the car and we have put max 7 hours on the car. We also bought a hardtop for it. Unfortunately is was for a MK 2 car and it was slightly different. It can be modified though.
