This stunning Jaguar XJS V12 Convertible has covered just 46, 000 miles from new and has had just three owners. G369 HUG was supplied new in Arctic Blue with Isis Blue interior by Appleyards of Harrogate and dispatched on the 8th August 1989. Spare keys, original leather Jaguar folder with manuals and tools accompany the car along with MOT records back to 9337 miles. Appleyard Jaguar on Leeds Road in Harrogate sold the XJS to a Company Director in Kirby Overblow and the supplying dealership serviced the car at 1095, 3624 and 7912 miles in 1991. From 7912 to 36713 miles the service book wasn’t stamped, but MOT records throughout the 1990’s and early 2000’s follow and warrant the mileage. The service book stamps continues from 36713 miles in 2004 and confirm further services at 42139, 42911, 43154, 43462, 43714, 44497, 44691, 45243, 45467, 45627 and most recently in 2022 at 45786 miles. The last 10 services have been with Jagtech of Stockton on Tees.
This low mileage, low ownership car has clearly led a very sheltered life and retains a huge level of originality. The second owner who purchased the XJS in 2012 has had the same people, Jaguar specialists maintain it for him, and any work advised has been carried out. The XJS has been maintained with no expense spared, it has covered around 3000 miles in the ten years of ownership. The car has been proudly exhibited on the XJS club stand at the NEC in 2016, and maintenance over the last 3000 miles includes ten services, a new quarter light motor and regulator, all new drive belts, new water pump and gaskets, new power steering rack bushes, headlight wiper rubbers, new front suspension springs, new rear shock absorbers and a new set of correct Pirelli tyres. The cars second owner came to us in order to find a new home for the car, and we immediatley sold it to one of our long term regular customers in Sussex who has superbly detailed the car, only parting with the XJS earlier than anticapted due to space limitations. The car now arrives back with us even sharper, and is presented in true showroom condition.
The Jaguar presents superbly with a stunning paint finish, impressive brightwork and an excellent straight bodyshell. This has been a garaged car, kept in a condition ready to attend shows and has been owned by enthusiasts who have really enjoyed owning the car. The original upholstery is impressive and is exceptional for over 30 years old, the power hood works and is in lovely condition and wheels, boot compartment and engine bay are all lovely, clean and sharp. On the road the XJS is impressive and in typical XJS V12 fashion, the engine offers incredible performance with smooth delivery of power, the automatic GM gearbox offers lovely changes up and down, and the car handles and brakes superbly. These open top grand touring Jaguars offer amazing comfort, luxury and performance and low mileage, low ownership cars in this condition are becoming very collectable.
