Here at Old Colonel Cars, the Classic and Performance Car Agency, we are delighted to have Alpina B10 3. 5 Manual. This January 1989 example, has covered only 92, 000 Miles and comes with full service history.
Here at OCC, we love an Alpina and this is one for the hardest to find. 1 of only 572 cars worldwide. To find one in this condition is very hard now, let alone finding a manual car.
This generation of Alpina’s were produced at the BMW Sytner dealer. New 535’s were taken off the production line and rebuilt in a special Alpina production department. In typical Alpina style, the changes were across the car, making performance improvements, to turn and already good car into something very special.

Engine – Engine power increased by 50 BHP on standard 535, new camshaft / crankshaft / bearings / light weight pistons / cylinder head modified as well as cooling improvements / oil cooling etc. The fuel injection improved along with a complete Alpina exhaust system.
Transmission / Diff – 5 Speed manual gearbox mated to a special Alpina Limited Slipp Diff.
Suspension – Front and Rear Alpina Bilstein shocks and springs
Wheels – Ultra light Alpina alloys – Front 8. 5 / 15 Rear 9. 5 / 17
Body / Interior – Alpina front spoiler / Alpina dash plaque / Alpina Steering wheel / Alpina Gear knob / Alpina dials
Performance – 0-60 6. 5 Seconds … For top speed, Alpina suggest ‘more than 155 mph’ …
This car is an excellent example. The Lach Silver Metallic paintwork is in excellent condition. Look closer, there is no rust on this well cared for car, the paintwork has a lovely deep all over shine, no noticable dings or dents. Inside the condition is just as good. Look at those sports seats, amazing condition.
This car is a delight to drive. The engine has a deeper engine note than a standard 535, straight away you know this car is something special. The straight six engine is fantastic, a much more sport character than a standard car, very eager for you to rev, the sounds just get better and better. The 5 speed gearbox is lovely and precise, the clutch feeling just right. The suspension on this car, is firmer than a standard 535, but not to hard to spoil the enjoyment. Pull out of a junction and you are aware of the Alpina Diff giving you that extra grip to pull away…
Underneath this B10 its all been very well cared for, all reassuringly solid and as good as you would hope.
This car benefits from an excellent, fully documented service history. We have all the original manuals, the original and fully stamped service book, all Alpina brochures, a letter from Sytner BMW confirming this is the genuine article, all old MOT’s, old Service receipts etc.
If you think the car looks good in the pictures, it looks even better in the flesh. It has a lovely stance and presence, it gets attention wherever it goes.
