Very rare and desirable 1952 Ariel VHA 500cc all aluminium engined restoration project.
The VHA was produced for two years and had unique crankcases, barrel, cylinder head and also featured steel flywheels which are included.
Also included is a GB Burman gearbox complete with kickstart and gear lever.
A 1952 rigid frame. I don’t have documentation for it however, it does have a number which I believe to be the original factory stamping.
Mudguards front and rear inc stays.
Monobloc carb.
Primary chain cases complete with clutch dome cover.
1952 oil tank and filler cap.
Engine plates and footrests inc gearbox top and bottom fixings and adjuster.
Battery holder, top hex fixing and a new chrome battery strap assy.
1952 VH petrol tank inc filler cap, Ariel badges and chrome surrounds.

Rear wheel hub assembly inc brake plate, anchor stay and wheel adjusters.
Rear brake pedal inc pivot pin, new chrome brake rod and adjuster nut.
Rear stand and new chrome spring.
Front half width wheel hub inc complete brake plate assembly, spindle and nut.
Front forks assembly dismantled inc damper, headlight brackets and top and bottom yolks.
Chrome handle bar and levers inc clamps.
Lucas headlight shell with underslung pilot light. Original pilot lens included.
Smiths speedo (dismantled)
Tool box.
Lucas voltage regulator box.
Engine sprocket and Cush drive assembly.
Clutch baskets with chain wheels, plates and pressure plate.
Altette horn and fixing bracket.
Reconditioned original single saddle.
New old stock big end bearing, cylinder liner and standard piston complete with rings and gudgeon pin are also included.
Lucas magdyno and Smiths Speedometer will also require restoration.
I have owned the engine for 30 years and have since acquired the rest. Sadly I don’t have the time to do the restoration myself due to over commitments.
