The Mercedes-Benz W110 was a mid-size luxury car produced by Mercedes-Benz from 1961 to 1968. The W110 was offered in several body styles, including a four-door sedan, a two-door sedan, and a two-door station wagon. The 230 model was powered by a 2. 3-litre inline-six engine that produced 120 horsepower, just like the W111 230S.
The W110 was known for its spacious and comfortable interior, as well as its robust build quality. It featured a unibody construction, which made it more durable and less prone to rust than other cars of the time. The W110 also had a number of luxury features, such as power steering, automatic transmission, and air conditioning, which were uncommon in cars of this price range in the 1960s.
The W110 was popular in Europe and was also exported to other countries, including the United States. It was well-received by the press and was praised for its smooth ride and quiet engine. The W110 was considered a more affordable alternative to Mercedes-Benz's more expensive luxury models, such as the S-Class and the E-Class.

Exterior: This 1967 Mercedes 230 is still wearing the original paint on 98% of the car and it is still in amazing condition. Just like all of the chrome details that are pretty much free from dents and have exceptional shine for the age. Rolling today on a new set of Maxxi’s tyres with a thin white stripe. This big black limousine is so nice and straight and free from dents. None of the panels has ever been removed and they fit perfectly. One thing that is super special is the original tinted windows.
Interior: Again, this 1967 Mercedes 230 is all original and just wonderful in every little detail. Heater and ventilation levers are often problematic on these old Mercedes cars. But not this this one. They work just fine. The plastic carpets just on the sills inside the car are a known problem on this car. The original red loop carpet is slightly faded, but still in too good condition to be replaced. There is a working Blaupunkt radio probably fitted by the selling dealer in America. W110 had wood only on the the glove compartment and the rest is black bakelite in excellent condition. The Mercedes has been fitted with seat belts that have a very convenient rolling function. Headliner and sun visors are like new.
Engine and mechanicals: This is the Mercedes M180 VIII power unit producing 120 horsepower, and it was the biggest engine available for the model. In the W111, you had also a fuel injected engine producing, however I like this twin Zenith carburettors much better. It has so much more grunt and you will never have any problem with that Bosch fuel pump. Some of the recent work done:
Brake system completely revised with new shoes, cylinders and hoses
New exhaust system complete
New water pump and gaskets all around the engine
Cooling system revised with new radiator, hoses and clamps
History: This Mercedes 230 W110 1967 was sold new in America. It seems to have lived a very sheltered life in Silver Springs, Maryland. This car is extremely well- documented throughout its entire life and for sure has travelled no further than 64, 600 miles or 103, 400km. There is the original service book and many invoices supporting this. All original documentation such as the original Mercedes maps, service book, owners manual, spare wheel instructions come along with the car. The Mercedes 230 W110 has recently been registered in Sweden and passed Technical Control. It is today a very rare car to find in this condition. It is extremely original and the driving experience is exceptional for such an old car.
