1965 Premier V8 – The World's First V8 350cc SOLD

Finnish motorcycle builder Tauno Nurmi’s estate is selling the motorcycle he built in 1965 that was the first 350cc motorcycle in the world with a V8. Nurmi debuted the motorcycle, dubbed the Premier V8, at the Finnish Grand Prix in Imatra in 1965. He also raced with it at the Dutch and the Chechoslovakian GPs.

It was the first 350cc motorcycle in the world to feature a V8 as written about in magazines such as Cycle World (November 1965) and Finnish magazine Tekniikan maailma (“The Technical World”) in 1970. Scans of both articles are included in the photos for the listing including an English translation of the latter.

The listing includes the photographed parts which comprise almost all the original parts of the motorcycle. In addition to the original Premier V8 parts, the listing comes with the pictured Norton Featherbed frame replica and an assortment of small parts that presumably belong to the motorcycle.
