This combined with, a standardised all chain drive system, internally expanding rear drum brake and powerful engines, made the Rover one of the most desirable motorcycles on the market.
This Rover Imperial 550cc is a rare to the market motorcycle and from 1962 its previous owner kept the bike in their living room before moving it to a heated garage. Since purchasing the bike in 2017, its current very keen and knowledgeable vintage motorcycle owner, has used and enjoyed riding the bike on a regularly basis. Since being purchased it has had new tyres, wheel and steering bearings, new toolboxes, and a new crank and con rod fitted by Alpha Bearings Ltd. Described by the owner as being in good overall condition. The bike starts easily and runs and rides nicely.
