Not your typical historic Clubman’s race car. It was very famous and successful with numerous race wins and lap records in 1970 and 1971. It has a big history file with lots of results, set-up info, period photos, period magazine articles (including 1969 Autosport feature where it was the front page cover car)
During the 1971 season the car achieved 12 race wins, 6 seconds and 1 third place.
It is an Ellova Mk2, raced in period by Sid Marler. It was built in 1968 around Cooper T76 components from an F3 car bought directly from Cooper cars. Girling calipers. Lightweight alloy body (apart from later GRP nose)
Currently stripped ready for restoration
The included engine is a 681F crossflow of unknown spec, already previously disassembled, has a deep winged sump plus a Holbay dry sump pump/ cover. Head is full race A spec with big valves and double valve springs. Comes with gearbox, lotus diff, intake manifold and Webber carbs.
Comes with 2 sets of wheels, magnesium and alloy
