Jaguar's stylish, powerful and immensely 'pleasurable place to be' XK8 grand tourer. The profiles are particularly well defined here in a gorgeous Antigua Blue. Interior is cream leather and walnut facings. The vehicle underwent a full respray in 2017 which included replacement of corroded areas and bodywork preparation beforehand and also fitting of new headlining and specialist wheel refurbishment. All brake pipes were replaced around the same time due to corrosion. Complete overhaul of air conditioning system in 2019 including new compressor, dryer and condenser. This is a 26 year old car so of course there are always going to be things that require some attention but the engine purrs like new and responds as required. The gearbox is the smoothest I've ever experienced and is barely detectable in shifting through gears as well as being immediately responsive. Recent additions include a refurbished steering wheel, new battery and a quality Hamilton car cover. Cruise control, heated seats, fully adjustable powered front seats, leather interior, heated windscreen, climate control, comfort/ sport selector, 18" wheels, intermittently functioning Harman Kardon sound system with multi CD auto changer (display screen is not clear to read), electric windows and ABS. This is the smoothest, lightest and most luxurious driving experience I've ever had. The car responds to how you drive it so it's very easy to drive sedately but will respond with all the power you might wish for when required. There is no indication that the geometry or any other aspect of the vehicle has ever been anything less than excellent and true in spite of its Category C notification from over 20 years ago. The repair at that time was clearly done very professionally as there has been no evidence of any ongoing issues. Including myself there have been 6 owners. I bought it in 2019 from one of my greatest friends who had owned it for the previous 11 years so I know all there is to know about the vehicle going back 15 years. Serviced for the last 15 years by a Jaguar garage that only work with classic Jaguars this car has continued to maintain a full service history following on from the book servicing. It is MOT'd until October 2023.
