1984 Honda XL250 Rc. 20K miles
Very good example of a rare Classic Motorcycle. Most XL250’s are an “S” type. Paintwork, Chrome, Engine Casings Etc. All in very good condition, complete with it’s V5C.
I have replaced the Silencer with a much quieter version & since then have been able to hear the Engine and it’s quite noisy.
I have sought advice on what could be the cause of the noise & have been told that the probable cause is the balancer shaft, which needs adjusting. However I believe that Main Bearings need replacing, So 2 years ago I bought a set of new bearings, Honda Part Number the details below Radial Ball Bearings 6306 C3 (Nachi), which are no longer available from David Silver, to replace them. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, I have not been able to fit them.
This is a great opportunity for new owner to replace the bearings & own a superb Classic Motorcycle.
