Surprisingly nice and accomplished mid engined machine often overlooked until experienced. Blessed with very positive reports when tested new by some of the most respected of motoring journalists. Easy to place on the road, accomplished handling and due to lightweight and little drag.... lively. Built in France by the experienced F1 and Endurance racing World Champion constructor Matra company, who ought to know whats needed.
This one, from 1982 seems to have been well loved and well cared for. Whilst perfection could not be expected, it is very clean and with the galvanised chassis and GRP bodywork should not cause issues. Paintwork is good, the seats and door panels have been retrimmed in cream leather, whilst the dash, headliner and carpets appear original. It has two spare original steering wheels.
Wheels are correct and look to have been recently refurbished.

Issues.... there are always some, and a classic needs a bit of humour to enjoy. The temp and oil pressure gauges are 'funky', maybe bad earthing as they are rather erratic. A little black paint lifting on the wiper panel, and the right electric window is asleep. Otherwise it does what it says and a bit more besides.
