NOW SOLD Stunning 1985 3. 6 XJ-S manual for sale in Signal Red.
Re-advertised due to an attempted scam last year. Sadly, the time has come for my wife to part with our beautiful Sebring Red Jaguar XJ-S 3. 6 manual, which is in excellent condition. The car is of low ownership (we’re the fifth I believe), and currently, there are only approximately 100 of this 3. 6 manual models left on British roads. As mentioned, she has the 5 speed getrag manual gearbox, and she has only covered 73, 699 miles in her 38 years. Her mot is valid until March 2024 (which she passed with no work needed and no advisories), and as well as her rarity and sought after status, she has undergone a full restoration over the years, which we have all the documentation for.
In addition, she has also had a number of tasteful upgrades that enhances her performance. She has adjustable suspension that can be adjusted for sporty or smoother riding, and she hugs the roads and bends at all times, even in wet weather. She also has poly bushes fitted all round (including the gearbox bushes), and she has had her wheels upgraded to to oem 16 inch lattice alloys, which improve her handling and looks, and these wheels are fitted with Michelin cross-climate all season tyres.
To add to the above, her fuel system has been professionally cleaned out, she’s had new plugs and leads, and her cooling system has been flushed and changed. Also, her idle air valve control unit has been stripped and cleaned, and she has had a new upgraded ECU fitted by AJ Engineering (which I checked back with personally). In addition, she has also had her climate control system re-gassed with the legal compliant gas by a specialist company in Leeds, and she has also had her rear disks and pads and rear cage overhauled (which I have the pictures to show).
On the inside, she has a beautiful black leather interior which is virtually unmarked, and her woodwork is basically in perfect order. She has a new cd radio with bluetooth for hands free telephone conversation and music fitted, but I have also got the original Jaguar radio in the boot should the next custodian want it. Her speaker system has been tastefully upgraded and the original oem aerial is in full working order. There are no nasty squeaks or rattles (except an exhaust hanger that may need changing), and there is no water ingress throughout the vehicle. She has remote central locking with an alarm, and I have two huge files showing all the work and receipts she has had done over the years. She has just had a new battery fitted, and she fires up, sounds amazing, drives fantastically and turns heads wherever she goes. It will be a sad day when she does go, but I’ve got to let her go, as I’m struggling for space. I’ve put her up for £9995, as these cars are just rising in value almost daily, but I am open to sensible offers. She is sold without a guarantee/ warranty due to her age, and all funds must be clear before I will release her. Bank transfer only and unfortunately, this time, I can’t do any part exchange.
