Due to back issues, I have decided to sell this #1 Quasar GTS1000.
There are only two of these GTS Quasars but I only have enough time to concentrate on one of them now hence this sale.......
It is finished in Ferrari Corsa Rosso/ Ermine white and Gold as a tribute to the 1960's Formula One Lotus Team and it looks stunning!
A little history: The Quasar was years ahead of its time and is still a credit to its designers, Ken Leaman and Malcolm Newell. Its futuristic lines still turns heads and draws crowds whenever it is parked.
The Quasar has been around since the seventies but despite this, its handling, comfort, economy, and its ability to consume great distances at high speeds have yet to be matched by even the most modern of superbikes.
The story gets interesting now as my Father was one of the country’s leading commercial photographers and did the Quasar brochure with the first Quasar at the very same house where I still live today!
Its a crazy full circle event!
Every time I see it in the garage, I am in total awe of it. It was too ahead of its time when launched and I still think it is! Can you imagine rocking up at your local bike meet on this!
It is up and running and sounds healthy and lovely....... It does require a little bit more input to finish but not very much. It will need the foot controls and mounts sorted and these can be done to suit you and a few other very minor bits to finish - Parts are included.
The last picture is the unfinished GTS sister bike. It sports a brand new 41 year old Quasar body! Pretty much everything is with it to finish it and it has brand new Girling rear shocks and a v. expensive new Maxton front coil over. I don't really want to part with this one but one of them must go to free some space. Price would be £10k firm.
