Description
For sale in our forthcoming auction during Le Mans Classic, on 30 June 2023:
Dutch title
Chassis n° XL9BA12G39Z363253
- Exceptional performance
- One of only 17 C8 Aileron manufactured
- Low mileage
Since the launch of the Spyker C8 in 2000 at the Birmingham Motor Show, founded by Victor Muller and Maarten de Bruijn, this impressive supercar has undergone several evolutions and has even taken part in several racing events such as the 1, 000 km of the Nurburgring where it claimed second place in 2005 in the LM GT class. Touring versions were also added to the manufacturer's catalogue, such as the Laviolette or Preliator.
Introduced at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, this particular one here is the C8 Aileron, which had the same Audi 4. 2-litre V8 engine as other C8 versions but under a longer and wider bodywork. Like its predecessors, its style was inspired by the aviation theme which was dear to the manufacturer; it however abandoned the propeller (specific to previous models) in favour of a jet turbine.
This particular car has had only two owners in its history, both Dutch. It is one of only 17 units made, one of which was delivered with a manual gearbox. This is the only one that comes with these colour specifications with a wide range of carbon details. It is therefore equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission and has a mileage of only 22, 500 km from new. The immaculate condition of this exceptional machine reflects well on its very high performance: Its 400 hp enables the driver to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/ h in 4. 5 seconds and reach 300 km/ h from the comfort of its interior, which combines luxury and sport, as well as an environment of quality materials. Spyker cars are extremely rare on the market and are part of the great elitist family of supercars. For enthusiasts of exclusive cars.
