A superbly presented example of heritage British engineering that has been maintained to an exceptional standard throughout the years.

The car is an absolute delight to drive. It starts first time, idles well, the steering is light, the suspension provides a smooth ride, all electrics work (headlights, high beam, side lights, brake lights, indicators, 2 speed heater fan, windscreen wipers, horn, warning lights and tell tales) and instruments work (ribbon speedo, temperature gauge, fuel gauge).

The car has undergone restoration work in its time and has retained nearly all its original features through in process. The car has few features a time traveller from the 1960s would notice as being out of place!

There are stacks of documents and paper work that come with the car that detail its history: heritage certificate, a photo album charting restoration work that took place in 1993, photographs of the car winning prizes at vintage car rallies, owners manual, workshop manuals, old tax discs, MOT certificates, receipts for parts and services. There are also a number of copies of Idle Chatter that date from the late 90s, a copy of which features the car itself.

Needless to say, due to it being 55 years old, the car is tax, MOT and ULEZ exempt.

I have owned the car for only a short amount of time. I am selling the car because unfortunately it takes up too much space in my small garage. I fell in love with the car when I first viewed it and I decided to buy it however it is not practical for me to keep the car as I cannot use my garage as I wish with it parked there which has led me to put it back up for sale.

I bought the car from a couple in Eastleigh who had owned the car for 8 years and had driven the car locally (e. g. to the seaside) but had not driven the car above 40mph. They kept the car garaged throughout their ownership. In terms of maintenance, they had fitted a new wiring loom and a new battery in the time they had it. They had the car MOTed every year up to 2020 after which they did not drive it. They decided to sell the car because they were not getting the use out of it. They bought the car from someone who lived down the road from them who also kept the car garaged at all times.
