Jaguar XJS 4. 0 Celebration Coupe – AJ16 Engine – N522WKO – Aug/ 1995 – 36, 900 miles
This car was bought by the current owner in Dec 2017 and is just one of a dozen or so Jaguar XJS/ XJS derived models he owns.
First Reg 01/ 08/ 95
Mileage currently 36, 900.
Background of the owner.
I am selling this car along with two other XJSs and a Lister Storm for a previous client. Further details on the other cars you’ll find listed on my website, should they also be of interest.
It’s fair to say that the owner is a ‘Jag man’. The cars I’m selling for him only represent a few of his collection and if you look on the last page of the ‘For Sale’ section on my website you’ll see one of his previous cars, a Lister Le Mans. One of several he owns.
As you’ll see from that car, he is a highly skilled engineer and is very comfortable and knowledgeable when it comes to working on any XJS-derived models having fully rebuilt and modernised many of them over the past 20yrs.
Car Details.
This is a car he bought in late 2017 gentleman who had it as part of his collection.
Prior to that, the car had belonged to an older lady from new until July 2014.
The car was in excellent condition when purchased.
Further improvements during his ownership have been as follows:
• Renewed rear splashguards.
• Bilstein shocks and springs.
• Fitted new wood/ veneer set and trip computer.
The car has been serviced and maintained as required during his 5yr ownership 1400 miles of use.
The paintwork, interior, engine bay and underside of this Celebration model are in excellent condition, and this must be one of the best examples on the market today.
Service History.
The car comes with a very good service history and a detailed spreadsheet of its ownership story.
The car was a pre-reg by Lancaster Sevenoaks Jaguar and went straight to its ‘second’ lady owner. They kept the car until July 2014 and 33, 000 miles and is one of reasons why it is in such lovely condition.
Market Values.. and personal view.
XJSs are very much on the up, and you’ll find plenty of independent articles that confirm that, so cars like this are a safe place to have your money, the days of a cheap XJS are certainly over, with the early and late examples being sought after now.
From a personal point of view, as a man who grew up watching Simon Templar in his white Pre-HE XJS (I still very clearly recall getting the Corgi 1/ 36th scale toy in my Christmas stocking back in around 1978) I have always had a soft spot for these.
Viewing/ Collection
This car is currently in storage along with the other Jaguars I have for sale in the CB25 region of Cambridgeshire and would have to be viewed or collected from there as things stand. Please have a chat with me about that when you enquire about the car.
Export is no issue, please take a look at the ‘Global Sales’ page on my website to get an idea of the cost of shipping to your location.
