Developed in conjunction with Michael Schumacher for Ferrari’s most passionate and driver-focused customers, the 430 Scuderia was the successor to the track-oriented 360 Challenge Stradale.
Thanks to the extensive use of carbon fibre (and other lightweight materials), the Scuderia is some 100 kg lighter than its F430 brother. It also benefits from an additional 20 bhp (upped to 503 bhp) from the naturally aspirated 4. 3 litre V8, which is dramatically displayed under the clear engine cover. The result is a top speed of 198 mph and a 0-62 mph sprint of just 3. 6 seconds.
Gear changes are lighting quick thanks to the F1 Superfast2 single-clutch automated 6 speed manual ‘box, plus there’s a computer controlled ‘E-Diff’ limited slip diff, ‘F1-Trac’ traction control system, carbon ceramic brakes and the ‘Racing Manettino’ dial for varying driving modes.
The Scuderia’s crowning glory is its incredible V8 soundtrack; theatrical, addictive and full of F1 heritage.
