There are some minor scratches, chips and marks on the paintwork but nothing major, the interior is in superb condition with very minor wear to the drivers seat bolster, the other 4 seats have hardly been sat on, a lovely well cared for Benz that has only towed my small 750kg capacity trailer, even the front engine cam cover is still present which is rare at this age.
The Petrol 5 door Wagon versions were always rare but are now very rare in pampered condition with no dog or child damage, so much more practical than the saloon. Remember these have chain cam engines so no need to worry about timing belt replacements. Why pay thousands more for a CDI when this faster and quiet petrol averages early 40’s m. p. g., especially when diesel is up to 30p more per litre? You will see from the photograph that it averaged 49. 1 m. p. g. over 103 miles which is better than my A class. A very comfortable and relaxing car to drive, it has the feel of a solid, substantial car. It has a surprising turn of speed due to the torque of the supercharger, faster than my V6 Petrol CLK 240 and has a higher top gear ratio.
