Here we have a 1949 Lancia Ardea saloon.
- 903cc narrow V4 engine
- 5 speed gearbox
- Sliding pillar front suspension
This is a series 3 model, although the transition to series 4 models was always a bit vague, so it has some series 4 parts, such as the rear bumper.
The car is sound and in good condition, having been resprayed approximately 10 years ago. The paintwork is not perfect, because regrettably my late father sometimes had difficulty in backing it into his garage so there are a few minor scrapes in the corners.
The clutch was replaced approximately 100 miles ago.
The car has been rewired at some point. Everything works except the semaphore indicators which I believe could be repaired quite easily. An indicator switch is missing. These are available in Italy through the club register.
The car has been dry stored for the past 10 years, coming out last about 3 years ago to do a couple of runs out. It ran perfectly then but has not moved since, so some minor recommissioning will be required.
