Ruf 3.4 CR based on a 1979 Porsche 911 For Sale

Here’s an exciting car! It’s a Ruf 3. 4 CR which was based on a 1979 Porsche 911SC but radically modified by the famous German tuning company in 2014. The car features Yellowbird bodywork (front and rear bumpers, and Cup mirrors) and Ruf’s trademark 17inch alloy wheels shod with Toyo Proxes tyres. Stunning dR Design LED headlamps are a distinctive upgrade (the original headlamps are available).

Inside, the left-hand drive car is equipped with Recaro hard-shell bucket seats, as used in the 968 Club Sport. These have just been upholstered with eye-catching jacquard-woven fabric featuring the RUF CR monograms. The rear seats squabs are similarly finished. This track-focussed cockpit boasts Sabelt race harnesses, an OMP steering wheel and a half roll-cage, plus Ruf badging.

The car is powered by a Ruf-built 3. 4-litre flat-six engine with over 300bhp going to the rear wheels via a five-speed Ruf gearbox (which was rebuilt in 2023). It has covered just 35, 000km (around 21, 800 miles) since the Ruf conversion.

A large history file includes documentation going right back to the original Ruf build in 2014. Since it came to the UK, the car has been well maintained and we looked after it for the previous owner, including servicing and various other maintenance work. It has recently been had the undercarriage and engine bay dry-ice blast-cleaned, while the bodywork cavities have been waxed for rust protection.

The Porsche is currently registered in Germany, so it could be exported to any EU country without having to pay duty. However, a UK buyer would have to pay duty to register it in the UK. We can advise on this.
