1983 Morris Ital 440/ 1300 van
A delightfully original Morris Ital van supplied new by Waite Bros of Kent in Feb 1983 complete with the original service book containing six stamps.
Registered as historic status MOT exempt / Zero road tax
This final incarnation of the Marina commercial vehicle gained the Ital?s Crisp new front styling ?nose and was fitted with the 1275cc A+ series engine producing nippy acceleration, adequate performance over the mixed roads encountered and cruised comfortably at a motorway 70 mph with throttle travel to spare. As for the options, these include servo-assisted brakes and an interior rearview mirror, a cigarette lighter, cloth upholstery, inertia-reel belts, front carpets and reclining seats. They?re smart and modern as well as clean and functional.
Equally importantly, the Ital commercials were hugely popular with public utilities; in July 1982 the Post Office ordered £4. 7 million worth of Morris vans, and three months later British Telecom commissioned 2, 047 units.
