Description
The car was purchased in the mid-1990’s and was in exceptionally good condition one owner and low mileage. Having used the car for about two years there was a small amount of rust appearing on the front wings and on the inner headlight box sections. New front wings were at this point in time still easily available. The inner box sections have been repaired with new metal the new wings were painted inside and out and welded back into place. All of the original underbody sealant and seam sealer was removed and paintable stone chip added.
The driver’s side door had a very slight crease on the upper part of the skin so was again replaced with a new genuine BL old stock full door.
At this point other projects took over and my enthusiasm ran dry, the car has been off the road and in dry storage for the last 30 years or so moved from garage to garage. Realistically it’s now unlikely now that I’m going to complete the project with other Classic cars and projects ongoing.
This sale is for the shell only no V5C ideal for anyone with a rusted out Morris Ital project. Front wings alone now sell for over £400+each. Due to storage there are is some very light surface rust but nothing that will not clean up. Unlikely it needs any further welding work. Please look carefully at the pictures, they will give you a good impression of what is involved. The shell has wheels and basic running gear to move it for transport purposes only. Vary rare Morris Ital body with all body panels included. New wings fitted and all the structural welding completed, it will require a fair amount of prep-work for paint, probably a back to metal re-paint, but you are starting with a very rust free base.
