Sunbeam Rapier 1965 manual, she hasn't got overdrive I believe. Dark blue exterior and pale blue seats. I have bought a new carpet set and have placed them in the car. I have not fitted the door carpet bits, so the original colour is shown in the pics.
The V5 is here in my name and has 5 former owners on the V5.
I have the original Roots invoice from the first lady owner. I also have the green log book this also confirms the first owner. The first lady owner then moved and appears to show as the second owner on the green logbook.
There is then a third owner on the green logbook which I believe was the actual second owner.
There is paperwork to kind of back this up.
My partner bought it from a trader name can be provided, so I believe he was the third owner.
Unfortunately my partner passed not long ago and the V5 is in my name now.
She is on the button and runs nicely and is a genuine car.
My partner loved Rapiers it was his first car many years ago. This one was going to replicate his first car as she was the same colour, but after buying his health took a turn for the worst and he did not finish his ambition.
She could probably do with a new wing hers are metal!
I believe she would make someone a really nice project and believe as she is so genuine is one to save for the future.
The engine sounds nice like a little sewing machine, the interior is really good too. There is some grubby finger prints on the front seats, I really should have wiped them.
I chose the colour of the new carpets as I thought the dark blue colour made the pale blue seats stand out even more. However the purists may disagree.
The Sunbeam chrome bit will need to be replaced on the boot lid. I think it did not like the Cornish weather.
I have priced to reflect work needs to be done and just remember her age, we all deteriorate!
The pics were taken in our back garden by me, hopefully I have provided what you all need.
