EXTERIOR
Modestly proportioned, the clean, simple lines of the 993 generation were a fitting end to the air cooled era of 911. Presented in a classic shade of Arctic Silver metallic this 993 C4 has stood the test of time well, with the pared back design ensuring the car still looks sharp 25 years on.
Overall this 993 presents in excellent condition thanks to a recent full respray (pictures available) with consistent colour and presentation throughout. The gorgeous silver paintwork is further protected and enhanced by PPF to the front end and rear quarters ? covered by a 5 year warranty.
INTERIOR
A classic contrast to the silver exterior, this C4 is upholstered in blue leather which spans the doors, dashboard and wonderfully supportive sports seats. The condition of the interior is very tidy throughout, with minimal wear to the leather seats and carpets free from any stains or damage and an appropriate match to the fantastic exterior.
Specified with an upgraded Singer spec Electronic AC and Porsche Classic PCM the cabin space is fit for both Touring and daily duties.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The last of the air-cooled 911s the 993?s 3. 6 engine was initially similar to the previous generation, but an update saw a VarioRam system fitted which increased mid range torque and boosted power from 272bhp to 285bhp. Benefitting from the updated engine this 993 still feels quick, even by model standards, managing 60 mph in under 6 seconds and going onto a top speed of over 170mph.
The engine bay presents dry and clean and in excellent mechanical health having had a regular and comprehensive servicing through its life time.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Fitted at each corner the 17 inch Cup wheels, free from any signs of corrosion or curbing, are wrapped in matching N rated Michelin Pilot Sport tyres all with good depth remaining all around.
C4 specific silver Porsche calipers show through the spokes clamping discs and pads that have plenty of material left.
HISTORY FILE
Delivered by Arlington Porsche of Northampton in February of 1997, this pretty C4 has enjoyed careful use and a thorough service routine with 20 service stamps in the original service book; so many a second book is now necessary to fit everything in!
