Bertuccioli Pierino. That was the name of the fortunate man who was able to pick up his Ferrari 348 TS on July the 13th 1992, from the dealer. An Italian dealer, I hear you ask? You might reasonably think that with such a name, but the car was ready to be collected in Stuttgart, Germany. In the lion?s den, so to speak.
But Pierino didn?t mind at all; he was the proud owner of an incredible 348 TS, with those last letters indicating that it was the Targa roof variant. Pierino kept everything with his car: the original manuals in the original folder, all documentation, various brochures and books, and, of course, all invoices and such like.
In the decades that follow, the car only changed owners a few times. But luckily, the 348 only fell into the hands of owners who were just as passionate about Ferraris as Pierino. Everything that came with the car has been preserved and supplemented with numerous new items. A parts catalog, workshop manual, a miniature model kit (neatly unassembled in the box), and all this time, invoices are kept exceptionally well, and the original maintenance booklet is stamped.
It clearly shows what kind of car we are dealing with here, an absolute collector?s item that has only been in the hands of devoted Ferrari enthusiasts. This is also reflected in the condition of the car itself. A car with very clean sheet metal and matching paint. Panel gaps are beautiful, and the overall condition is truly exceptional. Exceptionality also prevails in the interior, which too is in pristine condition. Smooth and well-maintained leather upholstery, beautiful carpets, and a dashboard in like-new condition. Naturally, the 348 features the typical black gauge faces with white-orange needles and numbers, which is simply stunning. The center console, which often shows signs of wear and tear over time, is exceptionally tidy as well. All in all, an interior that is museum-worthy.
When we take a look at the technology, the file of invoices speaks volumes, both literally and figuratively. The 3. 4-liter eight-cylinder engine has always received the necessary maintenance, and it is clear that work has been done diligently. A car that had significant maintenance not too long ago and has always been well cared for, not a specimen that has simply collected dust.
Finding a 348 TS in this condition will not be an easy task. Finding one on which the owners have been so passionate is almost impossible.?
