Honda 1969 CL125A Scrambler 124cc OHC twin frame # CL125A-318570 engine # CL125AE-318632

The CL125A was produced from 1967 to 1969. It was the smallest ohc twin cylinder four-stroke that Honda made, and was the little brother to the larger scramblers of 160, 175, 350 and 450 cc. This model was relatively quiet and smooth, and with its 124 cc, 4-speed transmission boasted a top speed of 110 kph. Many scrambler buyers were charmed by the bike?s racy upswept exhaust, peanut petrol tank and cross-braced handlebar: it really had the lean, archetypal ?street scrambler? look. But they were also attracted by Honda?s outstanding reliability, high-revving power and absence of oil leaks. The first Honda scramblers, he CL72 250cc twins proved they could handle rough stuff: in 1962, racer Dave Ekins and Honda dealer, Bill Robertson Jr., rode two early production CL72s nearly 1, 000 miles through the Baja California desert from Tijuana to La Paz. That record feat gave American Honda a bold advertising message that promised durability for all Honda models. The machine on offer has been restored and was part of a private Honda collection. She comes with rear view mirrors and hasn?t been ridden for quite some time so recommissioning will be advisable .
