The time has come to sell my rather special 540.
Can't keep them all and must make room for the next old BMW!
She's a 2001 BMW E39 540i manual, yes, factory 6 speed manual. Factory sport, facelift, individual, in Orient Blue Metallic. Genuine E39 fitment staggered M-Parallel wheels. Full black leather interior, cruise control, electric adjustable seats and steering wheel.
I've owned her since mid 2020 and was my daily for over a year! Since then it has covered very little miles and was kept in secure dry storage. The time came for MOT and I knew the sills needed repairing so that had to come first.
All sill / jacking point repairs have now been completed to all 4 corners and now the car has a new MOT until Nov 2024. (I have photos to accompany the work).
Other work carried out in my ownership includes:
New radiator
Rear discs and pads
New front to rear brake lines
Braided steel brake flexi hoses all round
Reconditioned alternator
New battery
New front anti roll bar links
The only modification away from standard is the power flow exhaust which is a cat back system. Lets the perfect amount of V8 noise out but quiet enough for cruising.
I have all the original books to go with the car, 2 keys, and a large folder of paperwork going back quite some time. She will have had a fresh service prior to sale.

Any BMW fan out there will know that a Manual 540i is rare, and since owning my one I haven't seen another manual sport! Let alone this being factory sport, individual and a facelift makes this the best 540 you could buy!... And much rarer than an M5!
