£15, 999 ONO
This is a 1971 Fiat 850 Sport coupe
A rare original UK registered RHD with one owner since 1978. It was taken off the road & stored in 1991. Until I purchased her from the owner a few years ago . This was one of my dream cars growing up. Needless to say after her 30 year slumber the car has now had extensive work done, with no expense spared! As I strove to bring her back to her former glory! Which I think you will agree has been well and truly achieved!
From that beautiful deep gloss black paint showing off those perfect lines and panel gaps.. She is gorgeous from every angle.. They don’t call the Fiat 850 Sport Coupe the mini Ferrari for nothing!
The undercarriage had a similar treatment there were a few spots of rust removed & re-welded. All the underneath was then wire brushed prepped, under-sealed & a stone chip guard applied. while all of the running gear (leaf springs, brakes, steering components etc) were coated with a protective paint.
Mechanically the car has been fully recommissioned. Which included a fully rebuilt carb. A new head was also fitted along with a NOS clutch kit & countless other bits & pieces. She now starts first go and being a rear engined car she feels really nimble & fun to drive.. especially with the brand new Toyo tyres fitted on the reconditioned factory wheels & chrome hubcaps.. Very classic & Boy does she turn heads!
The interior is standard & in quite good condition. The dashboard is perfect no cracks! Carpets are good & under that the floors are solid all around. The leather interior is really good apart from a small section where the seam is splitting on the front seats. I’m sure this is an easy job for an upholsterer.
The car comes with 2 ignition keys a new V5C in my name. A purchase invoice dated 1978 plus a couple of Mots from when last on the road.. A factory Fiat 850 owners handbook & guide.
This is an absolutely beautiful car which I will be heartbroken to sell.
I purposely sourced the very hard to find RHD version as I sincerely thought I would be driving her around here for a long time! Unfortunately this won’t be the case..
Interestingly you’ve probably already noticed the car also has an if not factory a dealership fitted sunroof which is very nicely done. Not unlike a Fiat 500 one but a lot more substantial & better fitting.
This is an a very highly regarded collectible Fiat classic. I have seen examples like this go for £24k+ & they are only going to increase in value as the years roll on!
This is a special little vehicle & this is your chance to own it!
