A limited edition car number 153 of 500 examples ever produced. Specially built by Prodrive in celebration of Petter Solberg’s 2003 World Rally Championship win.
Prodrive made exhaust and catalyst modifications and revised the ECU, this boosted power to 316bhp that’s 15bhp more than the standard STI PPP (Prodrive Performance Pack). Torque is up by 11lb ft to 310lb ft. The WR1 will hit 60mph from rest in 4. 3 seconds, compared to the 5. 0 seconds of a the standard STI PPP. Prodrive also worked its magic ensuring superior handling over a regular STI PPP by further uprated springs, shocks and dampers.
This particular example has covered 95, 000 miles from new supported with a full and highly detailed service history file. Earlier this week the car underwent a major service where by the oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, cambelt, all tensioners, waterpump, spark plugs, gearbox & diff oil were replaced (fully documented). In addition new Toyo T1R’s were recently fitted to the freshly refurbished factory Prodrive PFF7 alloy wheels. A fresh MOT was carried out (no advisories).
As you’d expect with such a rare car that’s been maintained with a ‘’money no object attitude’ it drives incredibly well with no issues or unwanted noises present. The engine, turbo, gearbox including the DCCD all work perfectly with no problems.
The overall condition of the car is truly fantastic. The bodywork is completely straight and rust free. All of the panels are the original factory fitted items sporting the vin number which is present on each of them. In addition the arches are also original. Moreover the distinctive Ice Blue paintwork is largely untouched and presents extremely well to this day. However please bear in mind this car is nearly 20 years old so naturally with a car of this age there are signs of wear and tear and areas that show small blemishes and defects. With that being said it is still pretty much perfect given its age. The interior as usual for a car like this remains in great condition, the only thing to note is a very very small hole in the drivers side bolster. In recent months the steering wheel has been fully refurbished to a high standard and although not exactly as original it is pretty close.
This fabulous WR1 is completely standard asides from a set of Defi gauges & turbo timer. It also comes with all its original owners manuals, literature, stamped service book, folder full of receipts, MOT certificates and both keys (fully working).
