Here offered for sale is a relatively rare VW Passat B5 with the longitudinally mounted 1. 8 5V per cylinder turbo engine which also saw service in the Mk1 Audi TT. This engine is full of old school turbo character where it takes a moment to get on boost but when it does it’s fairly swift.
The engine is mated to a lovely, slick 5 speed box that operates very well as does the clutch. Overall the car feels lovely and is very refined for an old VW.
This example is in impeccable condition for the age and mileage featuring unbelievably just one owner since new and has a respectable mileage of 117k.
The car has been tremendously well cared for and features an incredible 24 service stamps in the book all of which have been undertaken by main dealer or Vass-Tech VW specialists. The latest service was carried out earlier this year.
The cambelt and water pump has been changed a few times too in its life thanks to its meticulous service regime and was last done about 115k miles also completed at Vass-Tech.

Wheels are shod in recent Continental premium contact 6 tyres all round.

The car presents in very original condition so expect the odd mark and corrosion bubble on the alloys. Typical fabric sag on the door cards. Interior nice and clean with no major staining or tears. Touch points like the steering wheel and gear knob still look and feel near new. She looks wonderful.
