Lovely Fiat 124 Spider BS1
Out in earnest today (18/ 4). Given a good airing
Manual choke so took a few turns but started without issue. The oil a lovely straw color and no smoke or whining.
Ran beautiful and smooth after only a few mins of warming up. Not bad for a winter start on a car over 50yrs old!
Price as stated is to include ALL the extras pictured. Effectively around 2500GBP worth of extras;
Brand new rooftop (over 700 worth)
New (recon) cylinder head now costing around 1800 Euro
Been enjoying this now both as a regular driver and to shows where its garnered much praise by those who werent aware that Fiat really Did used to design class cars.
Bought late 2022 and Imported June '23 from USA
It runs excellent and is a great fun car to drive. Starts first time even after longstanding but as a manual choke sometimes requires a bit o patience in the cold.
Quirky and idiosynchratic, with all the smells and sounds that go with a car of this age.
Solid body with only one known small hole underside of driver floor pan . Was reprayed some time ago in the USA and still looks good.
Interior is age worn but in good condition considering the cars 50+ years of age.
Pretty much all original excepting the respray
All switches and gauges seem to be in working order with the exception of a few minor anomolies.
Roof folds nicely up and down but with a new roof ready to be fitted; note the main pic has the new top loosely positioned but not fitted.
Ive found no issues with the (manual) mechanism. Also comes with a black tonneau cover for when the top is down.
Aftermarket electronic fuel pump makes for a relatively easy start and smooth running.
A great daily driver as a springboard for a beautiful classic resto or just enjoy as is

We bought a his n hers duo with this being the hers; or his (im loving driving it).
Unfortunately due to personal issues the very low seating position coupled with the manual gear set up (the other daily car is an automatic), its not quite as we expected; hence being additionally put up for sale. One of them will go.
Its a fun little motor with classic 70s italian styling when fiat were still top of their game in both manufacturing and style.
Also bought late 2022 from Minn (no, they DONT all rot there if looked after like this has been) it was a reluctant sale which i actually tried to disuade but circumstances for the seller meant it had to go.
Weve enjoyed the short time weve had it but beleive a true Spider or Fiat afficionado will enjoy it all the more
