20xx Lamborghini Sián coupé
Supplied new in Germany, this Lamborghini Sián is one of the 63 cars built, the number a reference to the year in which Automobili Lamborghini was established, 1963. With a customised exterior finish in white and black from Lamborghini's 'Ad Personam' programme and a 'Nero Cosmus' interior, it came with many desirable options, including heated electric seats in Alcantara, a complete carbon-fibre package with a high-gloss carbon-fibre roof, as well as a special finish with black brake callipers and inside, a sophisticated overall treatment in black set off by light blue trim and inserts, and other items in white, bringing a touch of freshness to this very sporty ensemble.
Very forward-looking, the Sián was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2019. It was based on the platform of the Lamborghini Aventador and used the most powerful version of its internal combustion engine, from the SVJ: the 6. 5-litre V12 developed 789bhp at 8500rpm in this application. Power was sent to all four wheels by a fourth-generation Haldex system, with a seven-speed ISR ('Independent Shifting Rod') gearbox, with different shift times according to the driving mode chosen. But what made the Sián so original was its new hybrid system, with an electric motor connected to the rear wheels: this produced 34bhp on top of the power of the internal combustion engine, for a combined total of 819bhp under full acceleration. The car thus lived up perfectly to its name (Sián means a flash of lightning in Bolognese dialect) and could accelerate from 0-100kph in just 2. 8 seconds, making it one of the few hypercars eligible to join the very select 'Under-3 second club'. Its top speed was 355kph, another other-worldly figure.
Braking was taken care of by carbon-ceramic discs with six-piston callipers at the front and four-piston callipers at the rear, while the hybrid system helped slow the car by recovering energy. The suspension used an adjustable magneto-rheological system with stability control.
The body had a wedge shape true to the precepts of the company, whose 'Centro Stile' was led by Mitja Borkert when the Sián was launched. Its hexagonal and Y-shaped motifs could be seen inside and outside the car. Naturally, the materials used were a match for this extraordinary machine, with an aluminium monocoque structure and carbon-fibre bodywork, while the bonnet incorporated panels which distorted in response to heat and caused cooling vanes to open.
A technological masterpiece, the Sián adds rarity, exclusivity and striking styling to its extraordinarily intense performance. In addition, the example we are offering for sale has very low mileage and is in virtually new condition. When it was launched, this limited-production model was reserved for a hand-picked group of customers. This example represents the opportunity to buy a Sián today for enthusiastic collectors who were unable to do so when it was new.
This lot is sold VAT excluded. The VAT can be refund to any European registered company in car business which acquired it at auction, providing it holds a VAT European registration number and it can prove the lot has been transported to his country of residence. The VAT will be reimbursed to any buyer residing outside the EU, providing he can give evidence of this exportation, such as export papers duly signed and cleared by the French customs or from any other country member of the EU.
Impact on VAT: As the vehicle has been driven less tha 6, 000 kilometers, it can be considered "as new" for VAT purposes in certain European countries. Please contact your local tax authorities for confirmation prior to purchase. For a French buyer, a VAT of 20% will be charged on the hammer price and the premium.
