1998 Peugeot 406 Coupe V6.

I have for sale my stunning Peugeot 406 Coupe V6 in the beautiful Ariane blue metallic.
Designed and built by Pininfarina in Italy the 406 Coupe are stunning in their styling and shape and won a design award on their launch beating far more exotic cars. They feature bespoke details such as the flying rear buttresses, bbs alloy wheels, recaro seats and Brembo front brakes.
This 406 coupe is in exceptional original condition and previously owned by 1 family before myself. I am a collector and restorer of these cars and I am only selling as I have another in the same colour.
The car came to me a few years ago as the original owner passed away and I purchased it from his family as they had no need for the car but wanted it to go to a good home.
The vehicle has every single piece of documentation and paper work from new, the original order form, sales form and handover form from the supplying dealer in Watford. The original dealer stickers, key rings and number plates are all present as is every single receipt and invoice for work carried out. Also included are an original 406 coupe brochure and colour chart from the supplying dealer, book pack, service book and both working remote keys. There are even original letters from the customer to the dealer and Peugeot UK, quite simply outstanding.

I have carried out the following work to get the car back to perfect condition;

Cambelt, tensioners and water pump
Re sealed cam covers
Full service including spark plugs and filters.
Replacement Air conditioning pump
Full clutch kit
Wax oiled underneath/ painting of exhaust heat shields
Removal of any parking dents
Full detail of paint, engine bay and interior.
Strip, clean and painting of rear brake hubs, shields and rear calipers, re lacquering of front Brembo brake calipers.
Wiper arms repainted

The car drives so well, no knocks, clunks or any noises, the engine sounds amazing as it is the earlier 194 bhp v6. The car rides and handles beautifully and has the correct Michelin tyres fitted. The interior is almost like new and features the beautiful blue Florio cloth interior, cd changer and original blue floor mats. There is no wear, the airbag cover is perfect ( they have a tendency to lift). There is no sag to the roof lining and it is secured in place around the rear brakelight an area they can drop. All controls work perfectly, with ice cold climate control, cd changer, radio and cassette player all operating as intended. The stereo remote control, electric windows and electric heated door mirrors all function correctly and the outside temperature sensor shows the correct reading. This coupe also has automatic wipers and genuine Bosch wiper blades with the correct spoiler blade for the drivers side.
The early V6 models were available in 2 specifications this V6 S or the V6 SE. The S model I think is excellent as it has the much comfier velour seats and less complicated electronics. The original owner optioned the cd changer, metallic Ariane blue paint , floor mats and electric sunroof.
The exterior condition of the car is excellent, there is no damage or cracks to the bumpers which often happens to these brittle bumpers. There are a few small stone chips and light stone marks to the windscreen. The stone chips on the paint have been touched in and polished but otherwise amazing and original for a car that is 26 years old. The headlights and foglights are clear with no discolouration. In the boot the original spare wheel fitted with the Michelin tyre, tool kit, locking wheel nut key and BBS centre cap removal tool are all present.
The service book is stamped from the supplying dealer from 1998-2021 then with my local specialist. Mot is valid until September 2024.
Underneath the car has little to no corrosion or rust as it has been garage stored its whole life, the condition of the brakes, (standard Brembo brakes on the front), exhaust system, wheels and suspension is excellent.
This is a car I am selling with a heavy heart as it’s one of the best coupes I have seen or driven, but I have an identical car that I have owned from new so I have to keep that one.
