** RESERVED** Finished in stunning calypso red over magnolia leather, this lovely little Lotus Elise S1 has only had two owners and covered a mere 23, 300 miles from new.
According to the official Lotus certificate of provenance the car was signed off from the production line on the 14th August 1997 and is the last of three cars built in 1997 for the UK market to this specification.
The first owner collected the car on the 28th August 1997 from the supplying dealer, Motorway Sports Cars, and then kept the car for the following 25 years.
The car was serviced by the supplying dealer until 2003 @ 20979 miles and shortly after the car was placed in long term storage. In September 2022 Lotus Specialists “UK Sports Cars” sold the car to its second owner at which time the car had covered 21, 390 miles.
Between April and October 2022, the car underwent an extensive recommissioning program which can only be described as a “belt and braces” exercise with no stone being left unturned with the following works being undertaken by both UK Sports Cars and Lotus specialists RMS.
