This came to me as a collection of parts the day before Covid lockdown. Since the every single component has been either replaced with new, refurbished or rebuilt. Every bearing, every brake component, sprockets and chain, body frame and body panels, every front suspension part, new slider pins, new springs, rebushed sliders, spindles, nuts, all wheels and tyres are new.
The engine was rebuilt by Ford SideValve specialists. The original manifold is fitted, new exhaust pipe and muffler are fitted. I have the original Ford carburettor as well as a brand new Stromberg of the suggested size.
A new wiring loom in cotton covered wires professionally made is largely installed.
Upholstery is basic. Front wings need to be done, there are a number of options. Front lights are with the car and need to be installed. The windscreen needs to be selected and fitted.
The cross members have been plated, both internally where bolts attach springs and gearbox, and also across the open sides of the channel. An additional cross member is added where the siderails of the chassis change from angled to parallel. Additional gussets are in place on the cross member which is at the engine to gearbox position. The floor in front of the additional cross member is plate aluminium.
I initially was building this up as a road car and for the occasional sprint or hillclimb. Unfortunately having built the body as you see I learned it the ACU will not allow day licences for those over 70.
I have been careful to only make modifications as suggested by the knowledgable folk of the Morgan Three Wheeler Club, and otherwise there is nothing that could not be made back to the F4 4 seater it originally was. Of course the car is massively stiffer as a 2 seat car with no doors.
Front brakes are Morris minor with new shoes, drums, wheel cylinders only the back plates are from a donor car.

The list of work done is huge. The remaining tasks are all small ones.

First registered in 1934 the car was taken off the road some time in the 70s and dismantled by a stalwart of the MTWC. Purchased by me and with a V5C in my name. Obviously registered as an Historic Vehicle.
I may be interested in PX for an interesting vehicle of lesser value.
