Beautiful rust free Lancia Flavia 2000 i.
Originally from southern Italy.
Fitted with Kugelfischer injection and power steering. Only about 700 made to this specification.
Kugelfischer pump rebuild and working perfectly.
Engine recently stripped, cleaned and fitted with new crank and main shells. Overall the engine was in great condition with little wear. It just needed a deep clean to remove all the old sludge that had built up from being over 50years old. Now runs beautifully. Lovely and smooth with lots of torque.
New clutch fitted.
Gearbox replaced with low mileage secondhand box. This was also stripped and cleaned and found to have no visible wear. Changes are smooth and it runs silently with no gear whine. It’s a joy to use and must be one of lancia’s best boxes.
New front dampers.
New exhaust.
Brakes are incredible. Effortlessly slowing the car down with little pedal travel.
Non standard improvements;
Hazard lights and led bulbs in all light’s except head.
Additional supply from battery and relays to take load from ignition switch. Electrics now function perfectly.
Liners custom made for the front wheel arches. Important for keeping the water and dirt out of the front box sections that always rust out on UK cars. These areas have been cleaned and rustproofed, see images.
Brace has been fitted across the engine bay. This is bolted in so can be removed but frankly transforms the ride and handling. Really has to be tried to be believed. This must be the nicest driving Flavia anywhere.
Bodywork is amazing. It’s been repainted in the past and still looks fantastic. All the sill and wheel arch spot welds are intact and all the panel original.
Box sections and seams all filled with ACF 50 oil to keep it rust free.
I welcome anyone to view this car and with adequate insurance in place, take it for a drive. You will be impressed.
I’m struggling to decide what to ask for my Flavia. To get back what I’ve put in would make it £30+K. So this is why I keep changing the asking price. Sorry.
