Up for sale is my lovely 2013 Volvo C30 SE Lux D2 1. 6 with less than 59, 000 miles!

I have owned this car for almost 3 years and it has been the best daily I have ever had. Me and my partner have just had our first kid and so can no longer justify having a 2 door car. I bought a Volvo XC70 to replace it as our daily.

I always have 2 cars: a super reliable daily and a silly weekend/ project toy (like a modified track specced e46, V8 Lexus LS430, etc).

This C30 is an absolute tank that took me to a lot of places to view and buy those weekend/ project toys while returning 72. 9mpg (that’s with 2 people, on a motorway with heated seats, AC and partially loaded). It is super cheap to insure and £0 road tax too. It has never left me stranded and that is because of all preventative maintenance that I have done to it as well as going above and beyond and sorting everything that needed attention straightaway.

I use the same garage for all my cars and that team is as anal about keeping all cars mechanically immaculate as I am. So since owning the car we had the following done:

- Drive shaft centre bearing replaced

- Left driveshaft replaced

- AGM battery

- New Volvo front under tray fitted

- New windshield (if you know Volvos then you are probably aware that a lot of models have been affected with leaking windshield because of how Volvo applied the glue from factory. Original windshield had some stone chips so I replaced it with new one back in 2021. Since then I had one small stone chip which has been filled and causes no issues on MOT).

- V-belt replaced

- Gearbox oil flushed and replaced

If you looked on the MOT history you will see one with a lot of advisories (this was done by my garage as we keep everything transparent and honest). To rectify all of those issues, we have:

- Replaced both front lower arms

- Replaced all 6 rear lower arms and the rear trailing arm front bushes

- Replaced rear suspension arms

- Replaced front and rear anti roll bar bushes with polybuses

I went above and beyond and pressed out all of original brand new bushes from new arms and put PSB polyurethane bushes (I always use polybushes on all my cars to future proof them). You never need to change them again and the tracking on the car stays the same forever. I still have the original rubber bushes and they will come with the car in case you want to swap them back for whatever reason.

- 2 front shock absorbers (November 2023)

- 2 front coil springs (November 2023)

- 2 front top mounts (November 2023)

- 2 front top bearings (November 2023)

- Rear discs and pads

- O/ S/ R brake caliber

- Oil cooler and gaskets

- Timing belt kit with new water pump (November 2023)

- Coolant flush and refill with genuine Volvo (November 2023)

- OSRAM Night breaker 200 lightbulbs in both high and low beam (both sides obviously) (November 2023)

And it goes without saying that every year (we do about 7k miles a year) before MOT (till November 2024) I have done full service consisting of the following:

- Liquid Moly Pro-Line engine flush

- 5W30 Fully Synthetic Oil

- Liqui Moly Ceratec oil additive added to fresh oil

- Oil filter

- Sump plug washer

- Air filter

- Fuel filter

- Pollen filter

The car was 70% of the time ran on Shell V-Power diesel with BG245K additive added to the tank every 6 months. The other 30% of the time it was ran on normal Shell diesel (Shell is closest to us and I use Shell V-Power in all cars/ motorbikes. The missus was the one to put normal Shell diesel occasionally, but never a full tank).
